Swellendam

Swellendam is situated at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains and is the third oldest Town in South Africa with over 50 provincial heritage sites - most of them are buildings of Cape Dutch architecture.   Swellendam is only a two hour drive to Cape Town or George. The local Municipality is also the best-run coalition government in South Africa according to the 2016 Government Performance Index, for great service delivery, financial management and leadership.
